NeoDyne Ltd. is an Irish company founded in 1998 employing automation, electrical, instrument, business systems and validation engineers and specialists. The company specialise in providing Process Improvements through automation and industrial information systems, delivering step improvements in reliability, cost reduction, energy efficiency, productivity, yield and unmanned operation. Services include Control, Automation, Industrial Plant Information and Electrical Engineering solutions, services and systems integration. The company supply the Pharmaceutical, Natural Gas, Oil, Electricity, Food and Mining industries

THE ROLE (FUSION Project) - 18 Months
NeoDyne would like to develop a Remote Monitoring and Analytics platform whereby machine/production line performance could be monitored and analysed with a user friendly output generated which can easily be understood by senior management. To enable this opportunity to be realised NeoDyne would like to build a bespoke cloud-based system that will monitor the enabled machines to record and report all information generated. The platform will be developed and designed for use by NeoDyne and its customers, to correlate data so that it can be easily understood by senior management. The system will integrate all facets of the enabled machines performance

Reporting to the Company Supervisor, you will be employed by Neodyne Ltd to lead this InterTradeIreland FUSION project in partnership with North West Regional College. As part of this role you will be required to undertake a Postgraduate Diploma in Business & Management, from the William J. Clinton Leadership Institute at Queen’s University, Belfast. This is fully funded by InterTradeIreland. The skills learned through the Diploma will enhance your personal, professional and managerial capabilities and will provide you with the necessary and valuable business skills to help you undertake your project role. The company will fully support you throughout this by factoring in the required time off to attend modules and workshops.

Job Objectives


• To carry out the tasks outlined in the project workplan and liaise with your Company and Academic Supervisors on an ongoing basis.
• To convene and service monthly technical meetings with the core project team (Graduate, Company Supervisor and Academic Supervisor)
• To report formally on a quarterly basis on progress with the workplan to a Project Management Group (PMG), this includes the assigned FUSION Consultant representing InterTradeIreland.
• To train staff so that the new technology is fully transferred and embedded in the company
• To work closely with the academic partner and travel to the academic institute as required.
• To undertake the Postgraduate Diploma in Business & Management, attending course modules and workshops.
• Any other duties which might fall within the general ambit of the post.

Skills Required

Essential Criteria
Candidates must possess
1. Min 2.2 degree in Computing / Software Engineering / IT.
2. Experience of software and database development for example SQL, MySQL Oracle;
3. Legally permitted to work in the EU.

Desirable Criteria
1. Postgraduate qualification in a Computing / Software Engineering / IT related subject
2. Minimum 1-year industrial software development experience
3. Graphical user interface design and animation development
