Job Description

Strickland Ireland manufactures hydraulic couplers to suit 3-45 tonne excavators. This device is used to change excavator attachment quickly and safely. Strickland Ireland is a recognised supplier in both UK and USA markets, manufacturing around 2000 couplers per year. Strickland Ireland has secured patents for its design within UK, Europe and USA. This design has a huge commercial advantage over our exiting competitors due to its simplicity. All couplers are manufactured on site in our factory based in Coalisland. The processes for manufacture are known as heavy engineering such as Plasma cutting, MIG welding and Milling, followed with product assembly/testing.

THE ROLE (FUSION Project) – 18 Month Duration
The main objective of the project is the design and development of a new tilting excavator coupling device for a range of excavator sizes. This tilting device will allow for another degree of motion on the end of the boom and allow for more complex orientations to be possible with excavator buckets or other attachments.
